Training Your Mind To Be Resilient feat. Neil Wattier

Have you joined the Profession With Purpose Community over on Facebook? It’s 100% free!

I’m really excited to share this conversation with you, in particular because it’s about a topic that has come up a lot during the COVID pandemic. • Why folks like yourself should become more resilient
  • How you might have benefitted from already being more resilient than you currently are

But what is resilience, really? What does it really mean? What is the big deal with resilience, and why is it important? How can it help you in your career and in your life?

Defy the Expectations, Choose Your Life, and Thrive On with CJ Finley

In this week’s podcast episode, I’m very excited to have a conversation with somebody who I believe really embodies the very ideas of profession with purpose, for a number of reasons.

CJ’s path really embodies profession with purpose for a handful of reasons… and when I looked at his career history… he didn’t come straight out of school, knowing exactly what it was he wanted to do. From what I can tell, he didn’t have a path set. He didn’t have a clear direction of exactly what he wanted to do.

Then there is the Question we almost never ask:

Stop Waiting For PERMISSION To Grow or Change Your Career

Outside of my business, where I work primarily with folks on the Employer side of things, I spend a lot of my outside time mentoring and guiding folks who are trying to either progress in their current career OR make a career shift.

Sometimes that shift is a minor one, and sometimes it’s a complete career change. Inevitably, by the time I’m talking with them they’ve reached a sticking point, or they’re in a rut, or they’re completely stuck and disenfranchised.

And while everyone’s situation is unique, I almost always here some version of the same few things.
